JP Millan
I am passionate about teaching, so that's probably what you will find me doing most of the time. However, in my free time, I love doing exercise and staying active, although hiking is at the bottom of my list. My family and friends are my personal therapists and make my days brighter and healthier. I am a big fan of board/video games, but squeezing in a workout session or hanging out with my partner/friends at a cool new spot in town are also right up there. I am not an early bird, but I absolutely love mornings, as I truly believe that's when I get most of my good work done, and when most of my greatest ideas are born.

Although I recently moved to Calgary, I consider myself a Vancouverite at heart. Perhaps ask me in a couple of years and see if by then I will have changed my raincoats and umbrellas for spurred boots and cowboy hats.
I also speak Spanish and can read and understand some basic French and Portuguese, so feel free to put me to the test as long as we are not in class! ;)

l enjoy the simple things in life the most: spending time with my little family of my wife, my miniature dachshund "Chorizo" and myself. Contrary to most Vancouverites, I don't hike every Sunday, preferring to sleep in and relax at home. I do like to stay active when I can, working out, doing yoga and going snowboarding in the wintertime. I enjoy learning about different cultures having lived and taught in Japan for three years and travelling regularly to my wife's homeland of Argentina. As a famous Japanese proverb goes, "a thousand mile journey begins with the first step" and try to remember this with any new challenge about how important it is to take that first step.
